Austin, TX- Get Ready to ROAR

I have a love affair with my hair. I spend more time on my hair during my daily getting ready routine. It's what determines how my day is going to go. Fabulous hair = fabulous day. Bad hair = don't talk to me. And the more southern, the better. Paula Dean once said, "The bigger the hair, the closer to God." That's definitely this Amarillo girl's motto.

I have been craving change. But I didn't know what. I have been going to Roar salon in Austin, TX for quite some time. But I never had the guts to say anything different to my stylist, Lauren Dewalt. Yesterday, she figured out I wasn't quite satisfied with my tired long style. With a little push, she convinced me to cut my hair to my shoulders. This is a big change. Totally different style. Seeing Lauren cut long pieces of hair kept me on the edge of my seat. But, I love it. Shorter but romantic, very mature and sexy. Lauren Dewalt has so much precision for cutting hair and passion for making it perfect for her clients. Cutting hair "is like painting a picture or sculpting," explains Lauren, "You have a vision from the beginning, but the final creation comes as you go." She told me she was thrilled to finally cut my hair and told me that loving such a new change will take a little time. But I am already envisioning how to style this new doo of mine.

The way you wear your hair on your wedding day is, personally, as big of deal as what you're prancing down the isle in. Wether you know exactly what style you want or have no earthly idea, with the help of Lauren Dewalt and Rory Mcneill, fabulous owner with an expertise in color, you can have the absolute perfect look for you. With too many awards to count, such as best salon, best colorist, best service and best cut , Roar is definitely where you want to get beautiful on your big day. Roar has created hair masterpieces for Austin Fashion Week 2011 and is featured in top Austin Magazines such as Tribeza, Rare Magazine and Austin Monthly.
